OUR STORY
We’re Cabana Coffee Roasters - Chris und Janet – two coffee enthusiasts and the founders of this micro roastery in Berlin-Kreuzberg.
Together, we bring over 25 years of experience in roasting, brewing, and tasting coffees from all over the world. Like many roasters before us, we ran our own café for years before starting to roast ourselves. Back then, as a multi-roaster coffee bar, we showcased some of the most exciting specialty coffees from Scandinavia and the UK. In 2017, we finally made our dream come true — opening our own roastery to craft the kind of coffee we’ve always loved to drink and share.
It all starts with a vision
Founded out of a deep passion for coffee, Cabana has grown into a place for true coffee lovers.
We source green coffees with full transparency and traceability — coffees that ensure fair compensation for producers and support sustainable farming practices. On average, we pay two to three times the C-market price — a premium that reflects not only the exceptional quality of the coffee but also our respect for the hard work behind every bean. These fair prices promote sustainable coffee cultivation and support local farming communities in the long term. Our goal is to source, roast, and share coffee responsibly — minimizing our environmental impact while building a community that values sustainability, transparency, and quality in every cup.
