RUM BALLS | PAPAYA | PASSION FRUIT | HONEY
Tropical fruit bomb from the Colombian highlands ☕🥭🍑
A sparkling and fruity natural that delights with notes of rum ball, passion fruit, papaya and honey – wild, funky, juicy, playful, but with depth and structure.
A coffee that shows what is possible when passion, experience and innovation come together.
A passion project full of know-how and family spirit: With this microlot from Finca Patio Bonito, Paola Trujillo brings us once again an outstanding coffee from Cauca, Colombia – and this time with the whole family behind her.
Founded by Carlos Arturo Trujillo, who has been cultivating coffee for almost 50 years, Patio Bonito is a prime example of sustainable agriculture and intergenerational collaboration. His daughter Paola, a trained chemical engineer, brings fresh perspectives and scientific precision to the processing – especially in fermentation. After years as a cupper and buyer in Nariño and Huila, she returned in 2022 to enrich the family project with innovative processes such as thermal shock and anaerobic fermentation.
The 11-hectare farm lies at an altitude of 1,570 meters in the Pescador region and is home to a total of 47,000 coffee trees – including rare varieties such as Gesha, Wush Wush, Sidra, and Laurina. For this particular lot, a Catimor type was selected, carefully hand-picked, float-sorted, and dried on raised beds for at least two weeks – a true highlight given Colombia's humid climate.
